Five reappointed PM‍‍`s advisers, one newly hired

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has allotted charges to her advisers, according to a gazette notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday.

Dr Mashiur Rahman got the charge of economic affairs adviser, Dr. Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury - power energy and mineral resources adviser, Dr Gowher Rizvi - international affairs adviser, Salman Fazlur Rahman - private industry and investment affairs adviser while Major General (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique - security advise. They served as the premier‍‍`s advisers in the previous government too.  

Gauhar Rizvi, Tarique , Mashiur, Tawfiq stepped down from their position as advisors to the prime minister on November 19.

As Salman F Rahman was a member of the parliament, he did not tender his resignation.

In the latest tenure, Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury has been appointed the PM‍‍`s education and cultural affairs adviser.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday reappointed her son Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed as her part-time and honorary Information and Communication Technology Adviser.

Sajeeb Wazed was appointed as the PM‍‍`s adviser under the 3 (B) (1) of the Rules of Business, 1996, according to a circular issued today signed by Director General (administration) of the Prime Minister‍‍`s Office M Ahsan Kibria Siddique.

PM‍‍`s assistant press secretary MM Emrul Kayas confirmed it to BSS.

Sajeeb Wazed would carry out his duties in line with instructions and suggestions of Prime Minister and President of the ruling Awami League Sheikh Hasina.
